Faculty Scientists Represented Ukraine at the AIRQUEST Ecological Symposium in Zonguldak

On April 27 – 29, representatives of the Faculty of Hydrometeorology and Ecology (Prof. Chugai A.V., Prof. Safranov T.A., Senior Lecturer Ilyina A.O.) took part in the AIRQUEST International Symposium: Clean Air for a Sustainable and Healthy Future hosted by Bülent Ecevit University in Zonguldak (Turkey).

The purpose of the symposium, which was organized within the framework of the AIRQUEST international project, was to draw attention to improving the air quality monitoring system in the Black Sea basin countries, raise awareness, and expand cooperation by bringing together scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders to promote air quality improvement, ecological transformation, and a healthy future.

Scientists from Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria took part in the symposium.

Separately, Assoc. Prof. Khomenko I.A. was invited to participate in the symposium as a speaker. Her report was dedicated to climate and air quality policy issues in the context of intensifying climate extremes in Ukraine.
