International Cooperation for Clean Air: Final AIRQUEST Project Meeting Held in Romania

On July 2–3, 2026, the final event of the international project BSB00168 “Interreg – Know What You Breathe: Mobilizing Communities for Air Quality in the Black Sea Basin” (AIRQUEST) took place in Galați, Romania. The meeting brought together project partners from Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Romania.

Odesa I. I. Mechnykov National University was represented at the event by the project coordinator, Dr. Sc. (Engineering), Professor, Head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection, A.V. Chuhai, and the project manager, Director of the Center for International Education, Associate Professor N.M. Kriuchkova.

The final meeting was organized to summarize the overall implementation of the AIRQUEST project, assess the progress of all partners, discuss the preparation of final project reports, analyze the financial status of the partnership, and coordinate the remaining activities leading up to the official completion of the initiative.

The meeting concluded with a general evaluation of the AIRQUEST project and its key achievements. The partners highlighted the successful cooperation established throughout the project implementation period and expressed their gratitude for the dedication and significant contributions of all consortium members. At the close of the session, the participants jointly committed to efficiently completing the remaining reporting tasks and ensuring the long-term sustainability and dissemination of the project’s results.
