Transport and Air Quality: Scientific and Practical Seminar at ONU

On June 30, 2026, the Faculty of Hydrometeorology and Ecology of Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University hosted a scientific and practical seminar “The Role of the Transport Sector in the Formation of Atmospheric Air Pollution”.
The event was held within the framework of the international project “Interreg – Know What You Breathe: Mobilizing Communities for Air Quality in the Black Sea Basin – AIRQUEST”, aimed at raising community awareness of air quality and promoting environmentally responsible practices.
The seminar was dedicated to the problems of atmospheric air pollution, in particular the impact of transport emissions on air quality and public health. The participants were drivers and driving candidates — a total of 50 participants took part in the seminar.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Hydrometeorology and Ecology and the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of ONU.
