Environment Day

Every year on the third Saturday of April, Ukraine celebrates Environment Day. This year, this holiday falls on April 19. It was established in 1998 in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Environment Day” No. 855/98.
The main goal of the holiday is to raise the level of awareness of Ukrainians on issues related to environmental safety.
One of the components of the environment that requires constant monitoring is the air pool. The state of the air pool in some regions of Ukraine, including coastal zones, remains unsatisfactory. The situation is complicated by the ongoing military operations in Ukraine.
