AIRQUEST STEM Training for Teachers: LEGO SPIKE Prime at ONU Mechnikov

From February 16 to 20, 2026, within the framework of the international project “Interreg – Know What You Breathe: Mobilizing Communities for Air Quality in the Black Sea Basin AIRQUEST” at the Faculty of Hydrometeorology and Ecology of the I. I. Mechnikov ONU in collaboration with the company “Innovative Educational Solutions” (Kyiv), a STEM training was held for 20 teachers from schools and vocational colleges in Odessa and the Odessa region and 15 teacher candidates (master’s degree students – future teachers).

An overview of the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime equipment and software was carried out, as well as the possibilities of programming, project activities, and integration into the educational process of the STEM laboratory with SPIKE Prime, and practical and project work with Spike Prime was completed.

The goal of the STEM training was for participants to acquire the appropriate competencies and skills for further training students in their schools to work with STEM projects.
