AIRQUEST Seminar: Air Quality Monitoring in Odesa Region

As part of the international project “NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme – Know What You Breathe: Mobilizing Communities for Air Quality in the Black Sea Basin” (AIRQUEST), a public scientific seminar was held on the topic:

“Air Quality Monitoring System in Odesa Region: Problems and Perspectives”.

👥 107 participants from over 20 organizations joined the event, including:

  • academia,
  • business representatives,
  • civil society,
  • healthcare institutions,
  • media,
  • state environmental bodies.

🎙️ Highlights:

  • Prof. Angelina Chuhai, project coordinator, delivered a keynote on AIRQUEST’s goals and practical implementation.
  • Speakers presented the State Monitoring Program for the “Odesa” agglomeration (2025–2029).
  • Discussed air pollution’s effect on Danube Lakes in the Odesa region.

💬 The seminar encouraged dynamic discussions and collaboration across all sectors.
